Served in VS-34 from January of 1962 to August of 1964 as an Aviation Log Yeoman. Hired on The Long Island Railroad and retired as a chief train dispatcher in 1995. Also found out what all those cockpit dials and gauges were about and became a pilot and flight instructor in 1975, using my GI benefits, and still go up with friends and scare each other every once in awhile. Moved to southern California in 1997 and am enjoying retired life as president of Desert Motorcycle Riders, an over the hill motorcycle club, not to be confused with Hell's Angels, which also serves as a social sphere for 65 members (some of whom own the planes we scare each other in).
